1.
Quellington owned this castle for some time in the 1600s. Built as a shelter for travelers, armies, and, in case of a war, be made into a hospital for soliders.
2.
Most castles were built for Lords to defend themselves and their rich companions. This castle was built for a family to live and grow, like a manor
3.
One day, two loving travelers came by to stop and stay for a little while. We don't have much information on these travelers, but we know they stayed due to the description of one lovers ears. Despite being two women in a long past time, they did stay in the same room.
4.
We do, however, have a plentiful amount of information on the family's pets. A sheep named Sam, and a frog named Millie. Many adventures were written about these two animals, by the children who loved them. They are a quite interesting early version of modern children's storytelling, down to the nonsensical power scaling, and the ubsurdist adventures they would go on. I highly recommend reading them, if you have the time. They are quite the trip.
5.
Unfortunately, the home grew quite old and dilapidated after many years, and the original family left it to the city. Unfortunately, it had remained endangered for demolition for decades
6.
I found this place quite damaged and broken, and I found the history interesting and moving. So I had to fix it, and this I will do until it is ready to be unveiled to the public. So I applied to be able to own it and fix it, and they approved me to fix it. I know this will be hard work, but it will all be worth it when it is complete.

I must treat this project like a glass box, keep it intact and without crack. Many places just needed a polish, others still needed to be removed. Age has taken their beauty, unfortunately. At a certain point of the reconstruction, I found myself deep in burnout and fear. I worried that my current state would lead to me ruining this castle, this deeply quiet and lonely castle. When I was cleaning out the basement used for servants and maids to stay, I found porcelain hidden in the shelves. They were never found and taken, and they looked stunning and beautiful. I took as a sign to keep going, as time and opportunists and theives had not stolen it's beautiful.
8.
After years of hard work, and the grace of friends I had met along the way, I was able to complete the restoration of this old house. It was quite moving to see the crowd of people coming in, including a kind woman with black hair and a small child in a stroller. She said she was working on a walking tour guide for her home state, and was fascinated with all history. She was quite kind. Her child has a wonderful mother, they will be taught well. At a gift shop, I sell small replicas of the porcelain I found in the shelves in the basement. They are there to show that, no matter how lost or dark the journey may seem, there will be fruits to your labor as you reach your destination.
